APFORGEN members and partner organizations participating in the APFW 2025 are:
- The Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT
- Asia-Pacific Association of Forestry Research Institutions (APAFRI)
- Asia Pacific Forest Genetic Resources Programme (APFORGEN)
- ICFRE-Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding, India
- Forest Restoration Research Unit (FORRU), University of Chiang Mai, Thailand
- Tropical Rainforest Conservation and Research Centre (TRCRC), Malaysia.
One of the key highlights is the side event on 4th November 2025, with the session title "Seeds of Resilience: Innovations for restoring biodiverse and productive forests".
The side event will showcase innovations and practical approaches for integrating biodiversity considerations in forest restoration design, as a foundation for resilient and productive forests. Policymakers, practitioners, and researchers will exchange experiences on digital tools, restoration models, and community-driven solutions from across Asia-Pacific, and co-develop a Call to Action to scale up regional collaboration. The session highlights how investing in tree seed systems can unlock healthier forests that sustain biodiversity, climate resilience, and rural livelihoods.
